A Spectacular Comeback!
The Crown Ballroom sparkled with energy and creativity on the evening of August 15, 2025! It hosted the incredible StyleAid Phoenix event. This year was particularly special! Not only did it mark the event's comeback after a 7-year hiatus, but it also celebrated 40 years since the founding of the WAAC (formerly WA AIDS Council). More than just a fashion show, this was a vibrant celebration of community, art, and the spirit of giving!
The atmosphere was electric as guests arrived, dressed to impress in outfits that highlighted the latest spring/summer collections from Western Australia’s most talented designers. The Crown Ballroom was transformed into a glamorous space, adorned with captivating decorations and lighting that created an ideal backdrop for a night filled with fashion, food, and entertainment!
A Fashion Extravaganza!
As the evening progressed, attendees enjoyed a spectacular fashion show featuring collections from renowned designers such as Meraki, Zhivago, Empire Rose, One Fell Swoop, C Design, and Kirrikin. Each designer brought their unique flair, showcasing stunning pieces that left everyone in awe!
The 360 booth added a fun and interactive element! Guests could step into a world of immersive photography. With its unique setup, the booth captured breathtaking 360-degree videos and images. Guests posed in their chic outfits, surrounded by the event's vibrant energy. Many attendees shared their stylish moments on social media, creating a buzz that lasted long after the event!
Unforgettable Entertainment!
The entertainment for the night was truly remarkable! Performances from the West Australian Ballet, Connections, and Ali Bodycoat kept the energy high! DJ Hello Sailor spun tracks that had everyone dancing until midnight. The combination of stunning fashion, infectious music, and a strong community spirit created an experience that guests will remember for years!
As the night continued, guests savored fine dining complemented by exquisite wines! The exclusive StyleAid magazine provided insights into the evening’s highlights, and the fabulous gift bags elevated the experience, ensuring every attendee felt appreciated and valued. The event was dedicated to supporting the WAAC in its vital work, which has led to significant advancements in HIV and LGBTQIA health initiatives!
Making a Difference!
The impact of StyleAid Phoenix reaches beyond glamour! The funds raised during this event directly support vital programs, contributing to a greater understanding of HIV and enhancing LGBTQIA health awareness. In the past year alone, the WAAC has delivered educational resources to more than 3,000 individuals and held numerous workshops aimed at eradicating stigma!
The auction was a highlight of the event! Auctioneer Prash Nayar held the stage as he auctioned off 8 donated items for a truly worthy cause. The excitement in the room was palpable as guests raised their paddles, eager to contribute to such an important mission!

Reflecting on the event, it was evident that the 360 booth experience was a highlight for many attendees! Capturing their stylish moments added a layer of excitement and fun to the night.
